WORCESTER COMMUNITY SHOWERS RAINBOW KIDS
Worcester MA - Rainbow Child Development Center, Inc. was inundated
with community spirit during the recent holiday season. Diverse and
generous Worcester-area business organizations and community groups
collected a bounty of gifts for the Center's children and their families.
A classic
case of good will was spread by the following charitable groups: Cutler
Associates, Junior League of Worcester (and customers of BayState and
Commonwealth Banks), Worcester Letter Carriers, Target, Hubert Kindergarten
Center children of Hudson MA, Greendale People's Church congregation,
and family and friends of Joyce Ranalli. All participated in donating
a great variety of holiday presents for Rainbow's children including
gift packages, games and toys, handmade hats and mittens - even a Christmas
tree.
Each child
at Rainbow had several gifts for Christmas morning as a result of generous
citizens associated with these organizations. According to Barbara Guthrie,
Executive Director of Rainbow Child Development Center, " The generosity
of the Worcester community in helping to make the holidays a little
brighter for our children and families was overwhelming. Children from
the Hubert Kindergarten Center donating some of their favorite toys
to children who are less fortunate, people in the community who selected
names from giving trees in local banks to purchase gifts in support
of the Junior League's Adopt and Angel Project, a church congregation's
support, a business owner who matched dollar for dollar the monies employees
spent on gifts for the children to provide food for families - a true
holiday miracle. Our families were very grateful for this incredible
show of community support."
Rainbow Child
Development Center, Inc. is a licensed, non-profit corporation located
