"Odessey of the Mind"

Rainbow's School Age Program is the recipient of a $7,500 "Keeping Kids on Track" grant from Verizon/United Way. The grant will be used to provide our school age program students the opportunity to participate in an "Odessey of the Mind" program. Under the direction of a program facilitator, students will be given the opportunity to learn creative problem-solving skills, which can then be used to complete in "Odessey of the Mind" competitions. The program challenges children to solve by thinking creatively in a cooperative setting. An immediate goal if the program is to enhance self esteem and learning skills to provide increased academic success.
