Rainbow Visit Pasty

Patsy Mollica is an educator and musician who continues to donate her time and talents to bring music and movement into the lives of our preschool children. When not volunteering, Patsy is busy teaching and working with the children in her own school, "The Little Green Singing School" which is located in Princeton, MA.

In June, the Rainbow Preschool children were invited to a concert at Patsy's School. This was their third visit to Princeton. The sounds of music echoed through the halls and out the doors and windows of the school. Alison Palm was the first to create music playing the violin. Patsy, Alison and about 20 other members of the school performed for the children. There was singing and music being played on the cello, drums and violin. Alison led the children in sign language as they sang "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands." In addition to the wonderful music and
singing there was a special guest, Nick, who performed a spectacular tap dance routine.

The Rainbow preschoolers also contributed to the concert with songs they have learned with
Patsy, including Rainbow's own theme song, entitled "When You Care." The finale was a wonderful rendition of "The Round Song" written by Tom Chapin and performed by Rainbow's
preschoolers and the children from The Little Green Singing School.

The festivities were followed by lunch in the gym, sad 'good-byes' and a bus trip back to Rainbow. Thanks to all the children in "The Little Green Singing School" for sharing their many talents with Rainbow's preschoolers.

Jeanette eloquently told her story of her struggles as a single, teen parent while crediting the staff in helping her learn successful parenting skills. Credit also has to be given to Jeanette for reaching out and accepting
the mentoring assistance she was given.
