RAINBOW ACKNOWLEDGED BY ALLMERICA

Grant Made to Support Center's Summer Program

(Worcester MA) - Rainbow Child Development Center Inc. announces the receipt of a $5,000 grant from Allmerica. The donation was made in response to a proposal submitted by the Center to secure funding for its summer performing arts program coordinated with the Performing Arts School of Worcester (PASOW). The grant allowed inner-city children (ages 5-13) to have the unique experience of receiving professional training from PASOW staff in music, dance, and theater.

Each summer over 75 campers participate in this arts program, which culminates in a public performance at the end of the session in August. Friends and family members are invited to attend the event, which is a presentation of what the campers have learned that year. This year's final performance will be August 14th at PASOW.

"Rainbow is thrilled to receive this support for our exciting program with PASOW, " confirmed Executive Director Barbara Guthrie. "Allmerica has done a huge service to Rainbow's summer campers - we are all very grateful."
