RAINBOW CELEBRATES YEAR'S ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Established Child Care Center
Holds Annual Meeting
(Worcester, MA) - Rainbow Child Development Center celebrated
the passing of another accomplished year during its annual meeting held
at Worcester's Holiday Inn on June 9, 2003. Board elections, staff recognitions,
and a special keynote speaker were the evening's highlights for more
than 60 friends and supporters in attendance.
Rainbow has a successful record of over 30 years of
providing childcare and therapeutic services to Worcester area children
and their families. Election of active and productive board members
has been key to this success. Board members elected to serve include
the following: Deborah Almstrom, Webster Five Cents Savings Bank; Rosemarie
Boyd, CFP, Boyd Financial Strategies; Judith Earls, Clark University;
Michael Farmer, CFS, Allmerica Financial; Anna Mary Kraemer, Cutler
Associates; Sharon Lindgren, UMASS Memorial Health Care; Ivette Olmeda,
Center for Women & Enterprise; Jose Ramirez, Commerce Bank; Joyce
Ranalli, The Community Builders and Lori Schafer, Marketing/Public Relations
Consultant. Board officers elected were: President Brian Forts, Esq.,
Bennett & Forts PC; Vice President, Virginia R. Auciello Sullivan
of Auciello Associates; Treasurer Todd Solar, CPA of Solar & Kilcoyne,
and Secretary, Marilynn Foley, Talbots.
A significant moment during the evening's festivities
was the recognition of terms of service to Rainbow of staff and board
members. Five, ten, fifteen, and remarkably, even twenty-year anniversaries
were marked by Executive Director Barbara Guthrie for those persons
whose track record is clearly a testament to their dedication to the
Center. Those unique individuals are:
Five Years: Staff Members: Maria Ramos, Lisa Dupuis
and Anna Nawrath
Board Members: Judy Earls, Marilynn Foley, Todd Solar
and
Ginni Auciello Sullivan
Ten Years: Staff Members: Yebraski Greige, Claudette
Rosenbusch
Fifteen Years: Staff Members: Linda Mayuski and Anna
Poulin
Board Member: Brian Forts, Esq.
Twenty Years: Staff Member: Gloria Goden
To the enjoyment of virtually all, keynote speaker Jack
Agati gave a humorous, intelligent, and passionate presentation dubbed
"Stop Praising: Start Encouraging!" Mr. Agati, President of
Encouraging Concepts Associates, offered up sage advice for the positive
and productive treatment of children and adults alike.
Rainbow Child Development Center is a licensed, non-profit
